“Contre l’aeroport et son monde” – Infoveranstaltung zur Situation der ZAD in Notre-Dames-des-Landes
In Notre-Dames-des-Landes, in der Nähe von Nantes in Frankreich, wird seit mehr als einer Woche die ZAD (Zone à Defendre – Zu verteidigende Zone) massiv von der Polizei angegriffen. Teile des besetzen Geländes, auf dem ein Flughafen gebaut werden sollte, wurden geräumt. Vor Ort kämpfen tausende Menschen noch immer gegen die Polizei, die versucht den Druck zu erhöhen um die „gesetzlose“ Zone entweder zu befrieden oder dem Erdboden gleich zu machen.
Das mehrere Hektar große Gebiet wurde schon als größtes Squat Europas bezeichnet, jedenfalls stellt es eine selbstverwaltete Zone von beeindruckender Größe dar, das von den verschiedensten Menschen bewohnt und genutzt wird. Die Kämpfe gegen den Flughafen haben mittlerweile eine Geschichte von mehreren Jahrzehnten, deren Ziele weit über die Verhinderung des Flughafens hinausgehen. Nach dem Motto: Contre l’aeroport et son monde. Gegen den Flughafen und seine Welt. Nach der Wahl Manuel Macrons zum Präsidenten Frankreichs wurde das Flughafenprojekt tatsächlich abgesagt. Während noch Teile der Bewegung – begleitet von starker Kritik anderer – die Legalisierung der Zone verhandelten griff der französische Staat am 9. April in der Früh die Zone an und räumte in den folgenden Tagen mehr als 20 Wohnorte. Doch das ist noch lange nicht das Ende der Zone: Die Kämpfe gegen die Polizei gehen weiter, es gab riesige und unzählige Demos und Soliaktionen und die Menschen vor Ort sind bereits dabei, die zerstörten Teile wieder aufzubauen.
Im Rahmen der Infoveranstaltung wird es um die Geschichte und die aktuelle Situation gehen. Im Anschluss an die Veranstaltung findet im EKH die Infomaden Soliparty statt.

In Notre-Dames-des-Landes, next to the city of Nantes in France, the ZAD (Zone à Defendre – Zone to be defended) has been attacked massively by police for longer than a week now and it’s still ongoing. Parts of the area on which an airport should be buildt, got evicted. Thousands of people are still fighting there against the police which tries to increase the pressure to pacify or erase the „lawless“ zone.
The area, which is several hectres big, has already been labled as the biggest squat of Europe. Anyways it’s a selforganised zone of an impressing size that’s inhabited and used by a high diversity of people. Meanwhile, the fights against the airport have a history of several decades, whose goals exceed the prevention of the airport. By the motto: Contre l’aeroport et son monde. Aigainst the airport and its world. Indeed, after the election of Manuel Macron for the president of france the project of the airport has been cancelled. While parts of the movement – accompanied by strong critics of others – were still negotiating about the legalization of the zone, the french state started attacking the zone in the morning of 9 April and evicted more than 20 livingspaces within the following days. But that’s not the end of the zone at all: The fights against police continue, there where huge and numberless demonstrations and actions of solidarity and the people there are already rebuilding the parts that have been destroyed.
